Students looking to earn community service hours have a great opportunity to do so and assist a great cause at this year's Relay For Life. Service hours are available on Friday, June 12th during set up, the day of the relay on Saturday, June 13th and during clean up on Sunday, June 14th.Please see the "Relay Youth Volunteer Sheet" attachment for times and tasks when and where assistance is needed. PARADE smile emoticon Monday, May 25 is MEMORIAL DAY. The American Legion is sponsoring the Memorial Day Parade that day at 10:00 a.m. - with a ceremony at 10:30 at the Ohio County Courthouse. The parade starts at the Senior Citizens Housing area, goes along the river, up Fourth St, on S Walnut to turn up Main Street and end at the Courthouse. See map below. The City of Rising Sun was pleased to sponsor Rising Sun/Ohio County's first Girls On The Run team. The girls ran the Cincinnati Girls On The Run 5K on Saturday, May 9 at Paul Brown Stadium. Here is a great activity for parents with children ages 3-5. Join the Rising Sun-Ohio County Parks & Recreation Department for Tyke Hike.You and your little one can participate in one, two or all three hikes on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am on May 20, May 27 and June 3.
