Spring will be here before you know it and so will the 2016 Spring Community Yard Sale. This year's event will be held Thursday, May 5 through Saturday, May 7.If you would like to list your yard sale in our newspaper ad, call 812-438-3340 by 5 pm on Thursday, April 21. Increase your fitness, strength, flexibility and relaxation through yoga with the Rising Sun-Ohio County Parks & Recreation Department.  There are Tuesday evening classes from 7 to 7:45 p.m. and Thursday morning classes from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. All classes are taught by Laura Baresel and held at the Senior Center on 510 South Mulberry Street. A Mardi Gras ball benefit for the Children's Advocacy Center of Southeast Indiana will be held February 6 from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Lawrenceburg Event Center with live music by The Menus.The CAC is a non-profit corporation established to minimize the trauma suffered by alleged victims of child abuse in a child-friendly setting.Included in the event is the Monarchy Competition. There is a benefit for Tony Burgess on Saturday, February 13 at the Rising Sun Senior Community Center on 510 Mulberry Street.
