Join your friends and neighbors Saturday, June 16 for the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission's Annual River Sweep. The local portion of this cleanup will commence at 9 a.m. from the shelter near the old city boat ramp at Front and First Street. Trash bags will be provided and all volunteers will receive a free t-shirt.
Since 1989, this award-winning cleanup effort has been beautifying the Ohio River and its tributaries from Pittsburgh, PA to Cairo, IL. Thousands of volunteers each year work together to remove tons of trash and debris from nearly 3,000 miles of shoreline.
