Santa & Mrs. Claus Arrive - Wednesday, Dec. 2nd
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in Rising Sun on Wednesday, December 2nd for pictures with Santa at the Ohio County Senior Building, 510 S Mulberry St, Rising Sun.  Cappel's Creations will take free pictures and the Rising Sun Lion's Club will be passing out treats! Sponsored by the City of Rising Sun and the Rising Sun Lion's Club.  Pictures will be taken from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. and will be available for pick up from City Hall on December 17th and after.

The Conductors of the Southeastern Indiana Model Train Club invite the public to attend their 3rd annual Christmas Holiday Train Show at Heritage Hall in downtown Rising Sun. Open November 21, 2015 through January 3, 2016, the event takes place Monday through Sunday (closed on Wednesdays) from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $1 per person, with families of five or more for $5. RSRF Awards Grant to City for New WiFi
The Rising Sun Regional Foundation recently awarded a grant in the amount of $2879 toward the purchase and installation of a new WiFi system at City Hall. The current system, nearing 10-years old, has outdated components, limited volume capacity and poor signal quality.  The new system will have improved signal strength bolstered by an additional access point, greater efficiency and the ability to easily handle the volume demands of the increased number of devices which access the network....
