JUNE MENU AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE RISING SUN SENIOR MEAL SITE
Rising Sun's Senior Nutrition Activity Center is located at the Hoosier Boy Recreation Room, 211 S Walnut Street from Monday - Friday. The meal site is open 10:30 - 1:30, meal is served at 12:15. For information or to reserve a meal, call Kim at 438-2468. The June 2015 Meal Menu and Activity Calendar is attached. Please spread the word to any Rising Sun/Ohio County residents that might be interested - open to all, not just those residing in Senior Housing.

Students looking to earn community service hours have a great opportunity to do so and assist a great cause at this year's Relay For Life. Service hours are available on Friday, June 12th during set up, the day of the relay on Saturday, June 13th and during clean up on Sunday, June 14th.Please see the "Relay Youth Volunteer Sheet" attachment for times and tasks when and where assistance is needed. PARADE smile emoticon Monday, May 25 is MEMORIAL DAY. The American Legion is sponsoring the Memorial Day Parade that day at 10:00 a.m. - with a ceremony at 10:30 at the Ohio County Courthouse. The parade starts at the Senior Citizens Housing area, goes along the river, up Fourth St, on S Walnut to turn up Main Street and end at the Courthouse. See map below. The City of Rising Sun was pleased to sponsor Rising Sun/Ohio County's first Girls On The Run team. The girls ran the Cincinnati Girls On The Run 5K on Saturday, May 9 at Paul Brown Stadium.
