The results of the survey are in! The next movie on the riverfront will be Finding Nemo on September 27th! Rain date is Saturday the 28th. Hope to see everyone there, and thanks to everyone who participated in the survey!

 Rising Sun Medical Center and Rising Star Casino are putting on a free community health fair Wednesday, August 7th from 9 AM to 3 PM! Free health screenings including Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and BMI as well as information on Diabetes, Nutrition, Preventative Health, Weight Management, Chronic Diseases, and Sleep Disorders. The education center will start GED classes Monday, August 5th. They will run Monday's and Wednesday's from 2 - 8 PM. Hawaiian Movie Night on the Riverfront!
 Aloha! The City of Rising Sun is presenting another FREE community movie on July 26th, 50 First Dates! The movie will be shown along the riverfront at approximately 9 PM. The first 100 people will receive a free lei! There will be music and refreshments starting at 8:30 PM so feel free to come early and hang out! Mahalo!

Education Center of Rising Sun to Begin START Training
Beginning on Tuesday, September 3rd, the educaiton center of Rising Sun will begin offering START (Skills, Tasks, And, Results Training) training. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday and student can choose either 1 - 3:30 or 6 - 8:30 class times. This class introduces 12 career opportunities within the Hotel and Lodging industry.  The 17th Annual Shiner Pride Car Show is this Sunday rain or shine! Registration starts at 8 A.M. Come down and enter or just enjoy these beautiful vehicles. There will be food, music, and much more! For those coming from out of town, SR 56 is still open through Aurora. Hope to see you all there!
