"Volley for the Cure" Thurs. Aug. 29th at RSHS
The Rising Sun High School volleyball team and Switzerland County High School volleyball team are partnering in a "Volley for the Cure" to benefit the American Cancer Society and the IEO and Elizabeth Vaughn Pursuing Their Dreams Scholarship. The game will be played on Thursday, August 29 at 6:00 pm at Rising Sun High School. There will be a donation table set up in the lobby outside the gym during the JV and Varsity games. 1st Annual Regional Fall Art Show Sept. 2nd - Oct. 31st
Pendleton Art Center and Java Bean Too will hold the 1st Annual Regional Fall Art Show. The Art Show will run from Oct. 4th, 6-9 PM (Opening Ceremony)  through Oct. 31st.  Winners will be announced Oct. 4th at reception. Rising Sun Fire and Rescue will be having a Golf Scramble at Vineyard Golf Course (16022 Indiana 250, Rising Sun, IN)  on Sept.14th at 8 AM ‎to raise money for the Rising Sun Fire Department  Scholarship Fund.  Hope to see you all there! Click here for registration form

A Roar of Thunder Regatta!
 This years regatta will be held in Rising Sun! So come down and enjoy a weekend of racing on the river. There will be food, drinks, racing, and much much more! Events run from 10:30 AM - 5 PM on Saturday and 9:30 AM - 4 PM on Sunday. Click here for a detailed event schedule!

 The Rising Sun Parks and Rec. Dept. has partnered with a certified tennis pro to offer tennis lessons to children! Cost is $40 for 4 sessions and will occur Mondays August 26th - September 23rd with the exception of Labor Day. Contact Jamie Bell at (812) 438-2700 for more information and registration!

 31 Miles in October is a free event that encourage participants to walk a mile per day during October! Register with Jamie Bell by completing the form attached below. Back to School Pool Hours
 The new pool hours are Monday - Friday 2 - 8 PM, Saturday 12 - 6 PM, and Sunday 1 - 8 PM. There are also two exceptions to these hours; August 23rd is 2 - 6 PM and August 30th is 3 - 8 PM. 

National Night Out!

National Night Out!
This years National Night Out is Tuesday, August 6th from 5:30 - 8:30 at the community pool! This is a free eventand there will be food, games, prizes, and more! Come out and celebrate our night out against crime and recognize our local law enforcement, 911, firefighters, and EMS. Turn on your porch lights to show support. We hope to see everyone there!

American Legion Post 59 Donates Flag to City Hall
 American Legion Post #59 presented City Council with an American Flag on Thursday, August 1st for services performed at the City and Parks. This flag is to be displayed at City Hall inside the credenza in the City Council chambers. The City of RIsing Sun would like to thank the Legion for their donation and flag folding ceremony.
