5th Annual ALS Walk, Saturday, Sept. 12. Registration 8:00-9:00 a.m. in the Community Building parking lot, the non competitive walk begins at 9:00 a.m. in Shiner Park. Registration is $20. Please go to our page,Rising Sun-Ohio County Walk for ALS and "LIKE" it for more information and updates. The City will run a Fall Community Yard Sale ad in the September 17th edition of the newspaper. In order to have your yard sale on the list, you must sign up by Noon on Thursday, September 10. Sign up in the Rising Sun Utility office or call 812-438-3340.

The public is welcome and invited to attend a public workshop to identify and discuss priorities for the update of the City of Rising Sun Comprehensive Plan. Wednesday, September 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ohio County Historical Museum, 212 S. Walnut St., the City's Planning Consultant and the Steering Committee will attend to discuss questions, concerns and receive input on the plan.
