FALL LEAF PICK-UP BEGINS OCT. 20TH

Leaf collection within the City limits of Rising Sun begins Monday, Oct. 20th, 2014. The following rules apply:   Leaves must be raked and piled in rows along the street or curb for easy access. No garbage or large sticks are to be placed in the leaves. Piles are not to be raked along side of mailbox posts, signs or trees with low hanging branches that could interfere with the swing arm. Leaves will be picked up on a street to street basis; homeowners do not need to call to request leaf pickup. Residents who bag yard clippings and/or leaves are required to use biodegradable paper bags which are available at Valley Supply, Tandy’s IGA, Walmart & Kroger.   *Note: Chipping will stop during leaf season. Small brush pick up will continue. Call 438-3340 with questions.   Final Dumpster, Sat., Nov. 1, 2014, 7 – 11 a.m.
