The Rising Sun-Ohio County Port Authority is accepting applications for the seasonal rental of limited dock space at the Rising Sun Public Boat Docks.  The 2019 seasonal rate is $15.00 per foot for boats up to 26 feet in length. For boats more than 26 feet, the rate is $20.00 per foot.

Boats must be moored on the inside (shore side) of the public docks only. No public utilities are provided, and all boats must have a certificate of insurance on file.

Click to download the 2019 Rising Sun Dock Application.  Applications are also available at the Clerk Treasurer’s Office at the Rising Sun City Building, 200 N. Walnut Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Monday through Friday.

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on April 24, 2019. Mooring spaces are granted on a preferential basis in the following order:

1. City of Rising Sun and Ohio County Residents, by lottery selection.
2. If spaces remain, all other applicants by lottery selection.
