The 2016 Spring Community Yard Sale and Clean Up is right around the corner. This year’s event will be held Thursday, May 5 through Saturday, May 7.

Please see the attachment below for a list of yard sale locations.  This ad will also appear in the April 28 edition of our local paper.

This community event is the PERFECT time to spruce up your property. Show PERSONAL PRIDE and CITY PRIDE by cleaning up around your yard. You don’t have to invest a lot of money to do it. Just invest your time and do the basics. Pick up trash and debris. Cut down high weeds. Trim overgrown hedges and shrubs. Mow your grass at a reasonable height.

Also, for city residents only, the City of Rising Sun make dumpsters available at the City Dump on the following Saturdays from 7 to 11 am: March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, July 9, August 6, September 10, October 1 (changed from Oct. 8) and November 5.

The following items are not permitted at the dump: liquids, hazardous waste, wet or lead paint, closed drums, Freon containing refrigeration equipment, tires or mercury containing lamps.
