Rising Sun High School’s band and choir will perform at the City of Rising Sun’s tree lighting ceremony under the Main Street Pavilion on Friday, November 30 at approximately 5:10 pm. Weather and river conditions permitting, Santa will arrive at Rising Sun’s Riverfront Park by Mac’s Seaplane Service at 5 pm.  The public is invited to walk with Santa to the Pavilion where he’ll light the Christmas tree. The jolly one in the red suit will then head to the Pendleton Art Center where he’ll be available for free photos (while you wait). Youths can decorate free sugar cookies while supplies last.

On Saturday, December 15 at 4 pm, OCEMS will sing for the public at the Rising Sun-Ohio County Visitors Center on 100 S. Walnut Street. Free cookies on hot chocolate will be served. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Santa House on December 1, 8, and 15 from 4-6 p.m.

Both events are free and open to the public.
