For Rising Sun and Ohio County residents only, the City of Rising Sun will have three dumpsters available at the City Brush Dump (end of South Downey Street behind the cemetery) from 7 to 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays in 2019: March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7, October 5 and November 2.

This service is free but you are encouraged to go early.  Street Department staff are on hand to help maximize space available. But once the dumpsters are full, no additional items will be accepted.

The following items are not permitted for disposal: liquids, hazardous waste, wet or lead paint, closed drums, items containing Freon or mercury and tires. Please adhere to the restrictions. Thank you.
