Grant’s Creek Bridge Below Rising Sun on SR 156 Is Once Again CLOSED
Here’s the hole story: the State Road 156 Grants Creek Bridge at North Landing has been closed because of a hole.
Indiana Department of Transportation Seymour District spokesperson Harry Maginity said Thursday afternoon that the bridge was closed shortly after 12:00 p.m. due to a hole developing in the bridge deck.
A similar situation forced the closure of the exact same bridge this past January. In that case, a steel plate was installed over a hole in the bridge.
The closure will be prolonged, with a reopening date currently undetermined, said Maginity. Detour signs will be in place by this evening, advising motorists to take the official INDOT detour of SR 250 to SR 56.

The SR 56 Grants Creek Bridge is scheduled for bridge deck replacement in 2015, according to Maginity.
