Indiana’s #INThisTogether campaign
Posted by Ynez Taylor on April 6, 2020
Recently, Governor Eric Holcomb and Mayor Joe Hogsett were joined by a coalition of community and civic stakeholders to launch a statewide campaign aimed at addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and flattening the curve.
With partners including the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, and Indianapolis Colts, as well as Indiana University and Purdue University, the social media-driven campaign will help Hoosiers understand the importance of social distancing, provide access to helpful tips, and information to galvanize a communitywide commitment to flattening the curve. When done correctly, social distancing reduces the number of hospitalizations and deaths related to the pandemic.
Aim members (of which the City of Rising Sun is one) have been asked to join the coalition and participate in the launch of this state-wide social media push. There are a variety of assets available to download and use on social and digital channels, which can be viewed at https://www.
Listed below are suggested ways partners and citizens alike can amplify the #INThisTogether message:
- Change banners and profile pictures to include the #INThisTogether logo, found here.
- Encourage employees to share the ways they are practicing safe social distancing with the #InThisTogether; social media assets can be found here
- Boost #INThisTogether social posts from other organizations and community partners
Social distancing is the most important, effective tool we have to defeat COVID-19—and a growing coalition of Indiana-based partners is committed to equipping everyone in our state with the knowledge and the resources to stay connected and motivated. Join the fight, play your part and keep us working together. Spread the word…not the virus!
