Construction has begun to replace Industrial Access Road between North High Street (SR 56) and Rising Star Drive.  Traffic will be restricted to one lane for the next several months.

The current concrete surface has deteriorated rather dramatically over the last several years.  Most recently, funds through local grants helped patch the worst of the potholes; however, the patchwork was never an ideal solution nor was it intended to be a permanent one.

Funds are now available to do a total replacement of the noted section of Industrial Access which will become an asphalt surface.  Also, storm sewer work will be done to improve drainage.  Poor drainage was one major reason why the lifespan of the current concrete surface was shortened.
