The City of Rising Sun is losing a dear friend and exceptional business partner- Rising Star Casino general manager Steven Jimenez.

In an industry where change and turnover are the norm rather than the exception, Steve has been the exception and we have all benefited because of that.  For two decades, he has been a member of our community and a fixture in the management of Rising Star.  For the last 12 years, Steve has been a steady, positive presence as the property’s general manager. 

While Steve’s new position will be in Lexington, KY, he and his family plan to continue to reside in Rising Sun until both sons have graduated high school. 

Our city will always be grateful for his service. While selfishly we wish our relationship could continue, we’re excited for Steve as he begins a new chapter in his professional career. To celebrate his hard work and dedication, the City of Rising Sun presented Steve with a Key to the City at a ceremony held Thursday in Rising Star’s Windsor Lounge.
