Here is the schedule of events for the 2018 Navy Bean Festival to be held in downtown Rising Sun on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13.

 

 

 

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12

Bean Tent

  *Bean Soup and Cornbread- 5 to 9 pm

Midway

  *Rides (wristbands available at ticket booths for $20) Games, Food and Vendors- 5 to 9:30 pm

Seaplane Hanger (Front St. near First St. Boat Ramp)

   *Seaplane Splash-In- 5 to 8 pm (it’s like a car show for seaplanes plus karaoke and grilled food)

Riverfront Shelter (Front St. near First St. Boat Ramp)

   *KidZone (free face painting, pony rides & petting zoo)- 5 to 8 pm

Heritage Hall

  *Baby Contest- 6:30 pm

Main Stage

  *Seven Bridges (Eagles Tribute Band)- 5 to 7 pm

  *Chuck Brisbin and the Tuna Project- 8 to 10 pm

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13

Front and First Street Boat Ramp

  *Bean Stalk 5k Run/Walk- 8 am

Downtown

  *Parade- 11 am (New route due to added rides this year!  Lineup at Harold Fryman’s Landing/new boat ramp, up Front St., left on First St., right on S. Walnut and ending at Rising Star Drive.)

Bean Tent

  *Bean Soup and Cornbread- 12 pm until sold out

  *Fashion Show- 3 pm with door prizes, homemade goodies and refreshments.

Main Stage

  *The Stampede String Band- 11:30 am to 1 pm

  *Black Bone Cat- 2 to 4 pm

  *The Menus- 5 to 7 pm

  *The Rusty Griswolds- 8 to 10 pm
