The Rising Sun-Ohio County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two events for the kiddos of our community in June.

Children ages 3 to 5 with their parents or guardians can explore the wonders of nature with a Tyke Hike.  The short hikes at Shiner Community Park will be held June 3, 4 and 6 from 9:30 to 10:30 am.  Meet at the shelter by the playground.

There will be a story, craft time and games too.  Cost is only $4 per day or $12 for all three days.

For children ages 6 to 10, there will be a Bug Camp on June 11, 12 and 13.  This will also be held at the Shiner Community Park at the shelter by the playground from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Each daily event will feature a lesson, craft time and an activity.  Children should dress in play clothes and gym shoes.  Cost, again, is $4 per day or $12 for all three days.
