Pool Admission Policy, Hours, Passes and Prices
Posted by Ynez Taylor on May 28, 2020

Summer has arrived and the Rising Sun-Ohio County Community Pool will open Wednesday, June 3 but with special guidelines and restrictions due to COVID-19. The pool will open to Ohio County residents only and at just half capacity. In addition, concessions will be available but limited.
Whether you choose to pay a daily admission or a purchase a season pass, proof of residency and a valid ID are required for both.
Season passes may be purchased at the pool starting June 3, preferably by check, payable to City of Rising Sun Pool. Cost of individual passes for those aged 4 to 54 are $40 each. (Ages 3 and under and 55 and older get in free). Cost for a family pass of up to five individuals is $100. Any family with more than five members will be charged an additional $10 per person.
Daily admission is also available at $4 per person aged 4 to 54. Again, proof of residency and a valid ID are required for admission.
All pool guests are asked to follow established social distancing guidelines. Lifeguard responsibilities do NOT include policing social distancing. Parents and guardians are responsible for keeping their children compliant. Please do you part and observe proper social distancing. It is for both your benefit and the benefit of others.
Pool hours of operation are:
12 to 6 pm- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
12 to 8 pm- Wednesday and Sunday
Adult pool exercise classes will be available for free on Mondays and Fridays from 11 am to 12 pm. Pool parties are also available to Ohio County residents only for a fee of $200.
While some community pools are not opening this season, the city felt it was important to at least open our pool to our county residents. We recognize there are some challenges by opening the facility. However, with a little patience and understanding, we believe our community pool can be a fun and safe place to visit this summer.
