Posted by Ynez Taylor on May 28, 2020
Due to a recent revision by Governor Holcomb’s Back on Track Indiana plan and in conjunction with the guidelines established by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the local Health Department, the playgrounds at all parks within Ohio County will remain closed until further notice. The Rising Sun-Ohio County Park Board will continue to monitor national, state and local COVID-19 guidelines and adjust dates and plans as needed. The following is a previously published article announcing the Park Board’s plans to reopen park facilities and amenities with the noted change regarding playgrounds at the end.
The Rising Sun-Ohio County Park Board met on May 12 to discuss the reopening of facilities/amenities which fall under their direction. Discussion revolved around how to reopen these facilities/amenities while keeping public health and safety as the top priority. Plans were reviewed and revised to minimize possible COVID-19 exposure risks to the patrons of the Rising Sun-Ohio County Park System. Rising Sun-Ohio County Park Board used guidelines set by Indiana Governor Holcomb’s Back on Track Indiana, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the local Health Department.
