Brush Dump Burn
Post Date: 08 January 2026The City of Rising Sun is conducting a ten day contained and controlled burn of their brush dump located on Downey Ridge behind the Ohio County Elementary Middle School. The burning will take place during the day and will be extinguished at night.
Although this can be an annoyance, it has been several years since this was last burned and it is quite necessary to make room for all county residents to continue bringing brush and leaves. The burn will be halted on Christmas Day and continuted the day after. Thanks to all for your understanding.
