Municipal Utilities
Rising Sun Municipal Utilities (RSMU) provides water, wastewater and electric to approximately 1600 residential, commercial and industrial consumers. RSMU began operation in June 1939. In 1955, it expanded to include sanitary wastewater collection with the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. If you have any utility problems, please call 812-438-3616, Mon.-Fri. from 8 am to 5 pm. For after hours or weekend emergencies, please call 812-438-3737.
