
Rising Sun’s Rae Baker Gipson Receives Aim Russell G. Lloyd Distinguished Service Award
FRENCH LICK, Ind. (October 24, 2025) – Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (Aim) has announced that Rae Baker Gipson, Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Rising Sun, is the recipient of the 2025 Russell G. Lloyd Distinguished Service Award. Gipson was recognized during the Annual Awards Luncheon, presented by Baker Tilly Municipal Advisors, on Wednesday, October 22, at the 2025 Aim Ideas Summit in French Lick.
The Russell G. Lloyd Distinguished Service Award is Aim’s highest individual honor, reserved for municipal officials who have made exceptional, lasting contributions to local government and public service in Indiana.
For nearly three decades, Rae Baker Gipson has served the City of Rising Sun with integrity, professionalism, and a deep commitment to her community. As Clerk-Treasurer, she guides the city’s finances with precision and champions accountability and transparency. Beyond her role in fiscal management, Gipson has been a mentor, collaborator, and active participant in statewide organizations, including Aim and the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers (ILMCT). Her leadership and mentorship have influenced countless local officials across Indiana.
