Seasonal Rental of Dock Space
Post Date: 18 April 2025The Rising Sun-Ohio County Port Authority will be accepting applications for the seasonal rental of a limited amount of dock space at the Rising Sun Public Boat Docks. Space is available for the 2025 boating season at the rate of $15.00 per foot for boats up to 26 feet in length. For boats more than 26 feet, the rate is $20.00 per foot. Boats to be moored on the inside (shore) side of the public docks only. No public utilities will be provided, and all boats must have a certificate of insurance on file. Dock Renters will be required to exit their dock space for certain City events on the river (see application for details). Walnut Street from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on May 21, 2025. Mooring spaces will be granted on a preferential basis in the following order: First, City of Rising Sun and Ohio County Residents, by lottery selection. Second, if spaces remain, all other applicants by lottery selection. These spaces are NOT REFUNDABLE AND ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE BY APPLICANT. For further information, please call 812-438-2407.
